Why is Guy Fawkes Night celebrated?
filed in Uncategorized on Nov.05, 2009
i know it was the failed attempt to bomb parliament and kill the king in the early 1600’s on nov 5, but why celebrate a failed attempt? it glorifies those who did not succeed.
it was introduced and made compulsory to celebrate that the king survived and attempt on his life and to remind those that might try again what happens to people who try to kill the king
